Penticton

Penticton is the heart of the South Okanagan.  Nestled between Okanagan and Skaha Lakes, and mountains to the east and west, this bustling city boasts an incredible mix of outdoor activities, restaurants, scenery, wineries and events.  Tourism, Healthcare, Agriculture and Forestry are the primary drivers of the economy.  In 2019 a new regional hospital brought a $300m investment into the area from Interior Health and the provincial government.

Neighbourhoods

Main North
Closest to Okanagan Lake and the downtown core of town, this densely populated area is tourist, senior and family friendly with the Rec Centre, SOEC, Okanagan Lake promenade, schools and the wildly popular Farmers Market in the Spring/Summer and Fall.

Main South / Skaha
Closest to Skaha Lake, the south end of town has Skaha Lake park (one of the top 10 beaches in Canada), great food and access to shopping. Condo growth is rapid with the Skaha lake towers and other developments coming online.  Several highly-desirable 55+ communities are well situated to take advantage of the seniors centre, pickle ball courts and shopping within walking distance.

Wiltse
The southeast mountains of Penticton have incredible single-family residences taking advantage of the gorgeous views and afternoon sun.  Additional areas will continue to be developed further to the East in the coming years as the access to the trails and Skaha Bluffs as well as the school and a short drive into town make for a very desirable location

West Bench
The large lots (that are technically outside of the city of Penticton) have fantastic proximity to town while feeling like you live in the country.  Almost all lots are over 1/2 acre and boast fruit trees, easy access to the KVR and many are horse friendly.

Columbia/Duncan
A very family friendly neighbourhood, this predominantly single family home area has great city views and proximity to town.  Major new subdivisions: Sendero Canyon and The Ridge have brought in hundreds of new families to this area in the past 10 years and will continue to expand in the coming years.  Lower down the hill on the east side of Government Ave is the “K-Streets” area (King, Kensington, Killarney, Kilwinning) which is an extremely popular area with older homes, tree-lined streets and no large hills to climb.

Uplands
A well-established neighbourhood close to town boasts some of the most expensive properties in town as well as some more budget-friendly homes and great access to the KVR and Middle Bench Elementary School.
